On sharing my baked goods — I slowly want to share my baked goods with sugar fiends who relish every bite of cake, stare in awe at every cookie crumb, and almost cry from how good something is. I want to find friends of my heart. Each box is a love letter to the time and place, to the ingredients and techniques, to the emotions and thoughts in my world. Pastry boxes: one small step towards continuous self-expression and a giant breathtaking leap towards putting myself out there.

On the pastry boxes — I have four criteria: (1) only include things I am jump-with-joy excited about, (2) only include things that aren’t normally found or purchased anywhere else, (3) limit it to a reasonable amount - for my sanity and sleep, and (4) donate a percentage of proceeds to antiracism and social justice efforts.

On how it works — Each month I put together a menu filled with everything I am inspired by, want to eat, and really excited about baking. Each month folds in the seasonal produce as well as always-changing inspirations, flora, and more. I do my best to rotate pick up locations around SF and the East Bay (usually Oakland or Berkeley) each month. Each month is a love letter to a time and place, a new adventure in a new location.
